 About me

I'm an Atlanta-based Dietitian and I work in virtual nutritional counseling outside of private practice. I earned my Bachelor's in Health Science from University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) and my Master's in Nutrition from Georgia State University. I acquired my Registered Dietitian credentials and am licensed in Georgia and Florida to practice Medical Nutritional Therapy (MNT).

My expertise revolves around preventative nutrition and MNT for chronic conditions, specifically Diabetes. In 2020, I received my Certified Diabetes and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential and I am now qualified to facilitate Diabetes Management with clients who have both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes. This involves carb counting, Diabetes meal planning, weight management, and blood sugar monitoring. I am also a certified pump trainer and work with pump and continuous glucose monitoring technology.

My other passion that is often integrated with nutrition is yoga and mindfulness. During a time I was very stressed myself (grad school), I completed Jon Kabat-Zinn's course in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. And in 2019, I immersed myself in a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher training in classical yoga from Kashi Urban Ashram.

My philosophy around mindfulness is that we all have the tools we need to create optimal health and vitality in our life- with our breath, body, and our ability to nourish ourselves. Our body is a vessel that houses our soul, and the soul is happiest when both mind and body are in unison and well-fed.

My counseling style is partnership and goal-setting oriented. I counsel all my clients from a HAES perspective (Health at Every Size) and love teaching an intuitive eating approach to nutrition. I'm passionate about helping my clients create consistency around healthy habits that improve their metabolic health. However, I also believe there's significance in celebrating non-scale victories such as perceived and measurable improvements in sleep, mental health, energy levels, mood, and mind-body connection.

When I'm not working you might find me dancing, doing yoga or cycling, experimenting with recipes and making a mess in the kitchen, trying out new coffee blends, enjoying time with family and friends (game nights are the best), or traveling and exploring new places with my partner, Mikhail.
